If you are tired of swapping batteries on your GoPro Hero 8, this is a good solution. The side door is easy to install and remove. It provides easy access for power from an external powerbank. Now you can focus on your activity rather than worry that the battery is about to run out. While not 'totally' waterproof, it will withstand a minor drizzle. Leave the internal battery inside, just in case there is a temporary disconnection. I used it with a 'magnetic' USB-C for extra flexibility.

The charging port door works perfectly. Obviously it's not waterproof with the door but I had no issues using my gopro in the rain with the foam cover on it to cut the wind noise.

Good, solid little door. Fits perfectly. Probably should come with a warning that camera cannot be used in water with this door. I realised this by the small port to allow charging, but others might not.
